Adjudicator - Margaret Stephen
Margaret Stephen received her dance training in Ballet, Tap and Highland dance in Scotland and performed with The Scottish Ballet.

Margaret immigrated to Canada in 1981 with her husband and two children and was happy to find North Battleford to be an active arts community blessed with talent in dance, music and drama.

Margaret joined the artistic staff at The Dance Connection, North Battleford, in 1991 as ballet Director and trains ballet students from "Tiny Tots" to Advanced 11 levels.

Margaret regularly attends workshops and teacher's courses to stay current with new teaching techniques and believes that dance is a life long passion, which continues to grow.

Margaret is an award winning choreographer and dedicated teacher who enjoys teaching students of all ages She is proud to have many students who have achieved careers in dance, as teachers and performers, who continue to keep in touch and return to the Dance Connection to take classes and visit.

In addition to her position of Ballet Director at the Dance Connection, Margaret has recently accepted the position of Practical Teaching Supervisor with Royal Academy of Dance. 

Margaret is very pleased to be a part of the Rose Valley Dance Competition and wishes all participants and enjoyable and rewarding week ahead.

Adjudicator - Kelsey Stone
Kelsey is an independent choreographer in Saskatoon who has spent the last two years teaching at The Performing Arts Warehouse. Since before Kelsey could walk, she’s been dancing. Trained at La Danse, she participated in many exams and competed in different festivals across Canada. 

While living in Calgary after graduating, Kelsey was able to train at Decidedly Jazz Danceworks and go to school for Radio Broadcasting at SAIT.  Kelsey returned to the stage while touring with JDT (The Big Thrill, Canadian Disco Idol), then settled in Prince Albert to work with Broadway North Theatre Company. 

She performed and choreographed in Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Footloose (Choreographer, Rusty), Cinderella (Choreographer), Cabaret (Koste, Dance Captain), Annie (Choreographer, Grace). Kelsey also got the chance to teach at The Performing Arts Warehouse and won a choreographer’s award at Rhythm Dance Festival in Calgary her first year teaching. 

Kelsey was recently featured as Saskatchewan’s Emerging Choreographer at Dare to Dance ’07. Her love for creating beautiful dances for beautiful dancers has taken her to Saskatoon where she is currently working at La Danse and with Fireside Singers.
